Historic Buffalo Cultural Center Burglarized
Cities like Buffalo are really blessed by the amount of history that exists in the region. In just about every corner of Buffalo, you can find all sorts of historical monuments and cultural centers. It's truly an asset that many people in Buffalo value.
Unfortunately, it seems that not everyone shares this sentiment, as one of the most important cultural centers in Buffalo was recently broken into and had thousands of dollars' worth of equipment stolen.

Nestled deep in Buffalo's Masten Park neighborhood, the African American Cultural Center has served as a beacon in the city, highlighting the contributions of Black Buffalonians for nearly 70 years. The non-profit multipurpose cultural arts and education center in Buffalo has a national reputation for honoring the past of Buffalo and African Americans, while also highlighting the great things that are happening in Western New York today.
The center is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that will see the nearly 5,000 square-foot facility brought into the 21st century, with key upgrades happening to the center's infrastructure, dance floor, performance space, and more. That is in addition to some major upgrades to the center's security and accessibility.

As the renovation of the Center is ongoing, it appears that not everyone appreciates this as someone recently burglarized the Center and stole all sorts of equipment.
According to a post on the center's social media pages, equipment that was owned by the center and its renovation contractor, Rodriguez Construction Group, was taken. Equipment like ladders, trash cans, lawn mowers, chainsaws, brooms, and more was stolen.
While some city officials have been on record saying that Buffalo is experiencing record-low crime, it doesn't seem like that's the case in some parts of the city.
This theft has been reported to the proper authorities; here's hoping they're found.
