Buffalo Police Issue Warning To Residents In Some City Neighborhoods
Living in the big city comes with all sorts of good and bad things. Having direct access to a great nightlife that's filled with excitement, plus all sorts of sports and other urban benefits, is one of the many benefits of living in an urban environment. Of course, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, as there are some bad things that come along with.
In addition to having a higher population density, living in the city also comes with its fair share of crime, unfortunately. Sometimes that crime consists of minor things and other times it is filled with major issues that can seriously impact people's lives.
Fortunately for us in Buffalo and Western New York, city officials recently announced that many crime statistics are hitting surprising historic lows. But just a few days after that announcement, the Buffalo Police Department issued a state warning to city residents in some neighborhoods that have people on edge.
Buffalo Police Warn City Dwellers To Take Extra Care
In a post on social media, the Buffalo Police Department has issued a warning to people who live near downtown, the lower West Side, Elmwood Village, Black Rock/Riverside, and North Buffalo to be on alert due to a recent spree of home burglaries and break-ins.

A robbery spree that hit several streets in those neighborhoods caused police officials to issue the warning. Homes and cars on Plymouth Avenue, Niagara Street, Richmond Avenue, Lincoln Drive, Fordham Drive, Middlesex Road, and more streets have been hit over the last week or so.
Officers in Buffalo have made an arrest of someone suspected of doing many of these robberies, but officials still advise that the community remain diligent.
