You’re Invited to a Community Discussion About Solitary Confinement

Open Buffalo, The WNY Peace Center, and the Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals are hosting a comment event: Ending Torture, a Solitary Confinement Community Discussion. 

The Community Discussion is scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm. The event is being held at the Crucial Community Center, located at 230 Moselle St, in Buffalo. 

The conversation will be about the popular and excessive use of long-term solitary confinement across New York State. You'll be able to hear first person accounts from survivors of solitary confinement. 

There is also a recent report published by the New York Civil Liberties Union that gives some very surprising details on this topic.
