Now that things are opening back up in Buffalo, the future is looking bright for residents in the United States to be able to cross over the peace bridge into Canada again. I recently talked about all the fun things to do on Clifton Hill and other places in Canada, now that there are more people being vaccinated, Americans will soon be welcome once again.

According to WGRZ, there are multiple sources that are reporting that vaccinated people will soon be able to get back into Canada. The border has been closed for over a year now due to the pandemic, which has really put a strain on some people, especially ones that have dual citizenship and were really having troubles getting back over the border. Now on this new purposed plan that will not be an issue if you can prove that you are vaccinated.

However, there is an issue, CBC reports, it's trying to figure out how to determine if a person has been actually vaccinated. President Joe Biden recently talked about how there will not be any vaccine passports, and there are some places that have banned proof of vaccination. Right now, the border sill remains closed to non-essential travel through June 21.

Although it looks unlikely that the border will be back open before the end of June, it is good that there are talks about getting things back open so that everyone will have something to look forward to for the summer being able to see all the attractions again.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
