Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory
Winter Storm Warning continues for Cattaruagus, Chautauqua, Wyoming and southern Erie Counties until 6pm Wednesday evening, and a Winter Weather Advisory for northern Erie, Genesee and Allegany counties from 7pm Tuesday evening until 6pm Wednesday.

Accumulating snow is possible anywhere in Western New York during that time, but the largest accumulations will be in the higher elevations of the Southern Tier.
About 8"-12"of snow for the totals possible in the hills of southern Erie county. Those along the Chautauqua Ridge could see 10"-14". Isolated measurements of 18 inches are possible. For Buffalo and the suburbs, 4-8" of snow is projected for Tuesday and Wednesday combined.
West winds gusting to 35 mph will make it feel even colder, and can cause areas of limited visibility of roadways due to blowing snow even in places where accumulation is minimal.
