Winter Is Coming: Buffalo’s First Frost On The Way
In the midst of near-record high temperatures this week across Western New York, you might have forgotten that it is Fall here in Western New York and that means Winter is just around the corner.
So when could we start to see temperatures start to drop and the need for the ice scraper rise? Well, that day could be sooner than you think.
WGRZ's Patrick Hammer took to Twitter to answer a question on when we could see the first frost of the season. If you were thinking sometime in November, you would be wrong.
Growing up here in West Seneca, I remember spending plenty of beggar's night and Halloween night trick or treating with my costume over my winter jacket.
We know that the cold and snow start to make their way here to Western New York by the middle of October. This year will be slightly different as Patrick Hammer is calling for the first round of frost to be on the ground and on your car the last week of October.
Are you ready?
