The National Weather Service in Buffalo says Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, and northern Cayuga Counties until 4 am tomorrow, including the cities of Niagara Falls, Medina, Rochester, Newark, and Fair Haven. Due to the widespread snow residents should take care on sidewalks, stairs, and driveways if they are going outdoors, as the surfaces may be slippery or icy. The high-temperature today and tomorrow will only be in the teens, so there is a good chance of ice. The widespread snow will transition back to lake-effect snow tonight. The snow is expected to stop around 2 am on Friday.
