With all that's going on, I just had to look up info as to what a virus actually is.  I could not stand Science class in High School...and it's strange that years after, I find it amazing.  Science miraculously identifies things we can't even begin to try to imagine seeing with the naked eye.  That's not to mention the mystery regarding the origin of such things.

Anyway, I looked up "What Is a Virus" and I was amazed by what I read.  Was I amazed because I probably read the exact same thing in High School but was more interested in how hard Deacon Jones could hit?  The information regarding what a virus is...IS...amazing.

There's a  link below with the full story but first, check out these facts that standout as WHOA, according to science.howstuffworks.com

  • Virus particles are about one-millionth of an inch (17 to 300 nanometers) long

  • Viruses are about a thousand times smaller than bacteria, and bacteria are much smaller than most human cells.

  • Viruses are so small that most cannot be seen with a light microscope, but must be observed with an electron microscope.
