W.Seneca Rapper Uses His Church Influences To Create His Own Wave – 716 Spotlight: Ology
I’ve been noticing the talent in upstate so we here at Power 93.7FM created a platform to spotlight the next superstar Queen City style. This week the “TALK OF THE TOWN” “716 SPOTLIGHT” comes from West Seneca NY. Ology is a 22 year old self taught producer/engineer/artist, making himself a one stop shop of creativity. He came by the studio to chop it up with SteelBoutMoney. We talked about the struggles being a new artist, we also talked about his early church influences which he credits his flow and his musical "flavor", we even talked about haters becoming fans and more. When I ask Ology what his name meant he said, 'like biology or psychology it means the study of whatever I like'. He even brought me his latest hit single Narcos; check the interview and his music out below to see why he is the talk of the town.
"You look like a nice kid, where did that gutterness and that flow come from?
"My dad made me go to church every Sunday , so I grow up around a lot of inner city kids bc we went to church on the westside, So some of that inner city sauced rubbed off "
"So when did ppl start to notice you and your rapping?"
"Man I'm keep it real with you I was clowned in high school at first for rapping. Ppl didn't support it until recently when I got out of high school. Now the ppl that use to be clowning are like wow now you have a great sound "
"What does your name OLOGY mean?
