The NFL’s week 4 schedule kicked off on Thursday night with the Miami Dolphins playing at the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Dolphins are 3-0 and coming off a big win over the Buffalo Bills at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

The big story from that game, other than the extreme heat and Bills injuries, was the health of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua was knocked down from a push by Bills linebacker Matt Milano before the end of the first half.

After Tua stood up, he wobbled and his knees buckled before being helped up by teammates. It appeared he suffered a serious concussion and would have to leave the game but much to everyone’s surprise, Tua came back for the start of the second half.

Tua was said to have sustained a back injury and it was re-aggravated on the play with Milano.

By all accounts, Tua was cleared by the medical staff in Miami to come back into the game against the Bills but many analysts and fans alike were skeptical and said Tagovailoa shouldn’t have come back after watching him wobble.

Tua went into Thursday’s game as questionable with back and ankle injuries but started against the Bengals. Just before the end of the first half, a nightmare scenario took place for Miami and the NFL.

Tua was tackled at midfield by Bengals defensive lineman Josh Tupou and stayed down with an obvious head or neck injury.

Tua was taken off on a stretcher and to the University of Cincinnati hospital.

The good news is Tua has movement in all his extremities, according to the Dolphins social media team.

However, the entire sports world is angry and upset with the Dolphins franchise for allowing Tua to play on Thursday.

The Dolphins may be the Bills rival but Bills Mafia is praying and thinking of Tua and his well being. Hopefully he makes a full and timely recovery.

He clearly should not have been playing tonight or coming back in the game last Sunday. Concussions are extremely serious and this is a very bad look for the entire Dolphins franchise. The NFL at the very least needs to now drastically change their concussion protocol and testing.
