T-Pain Says People In Buffalo Helped To Reenergize His Career
It's hard to believe that a free concert in Buffalo, which happened just over 9 years ago, would have helped reinvigorate the career of a GRAMMY Award-winning singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter, but that's exactly what happened in August 2016 when T-Pain graced the stage at Canalside.
For a few years after the redevelopment of the Buffalo waterfront staple, the community hosted a free concert series every summer. At the time, the Canalside venue was only rated to hold around 15 thousand people. But the 2016 lineup was pretty good that year, and T-Pain brought his hits, which also attracted more than 25,000 people downtown to the site of the Erie Canal.
That show, believe it or not, helped to encourage Buffalo to create a larger waterfront concert venue, which we see today at Terminal B. But, that's not all that happened after that show, as T-Pain himself said it gave him the energy and encouragement to keep going in the music business after a few down years.

In a post on his Instagram and Live Stream, Faheem Rashad Najm also known as Teddy Pain aka Teddy Pinned-Her-Ass-Down, talked about how the people of Buffalo really helped him when he was having a hard time in the business.
When people found out that I was on the show the day of, they like stormed it... I was about to quit music until that happened, and then I told them on stage, so Buffalo has been that spot that kind of made T-Pain keep going with music, because of that one thing.

T-Pain is planning to return the favor to Buffalo when he performs live at Terminal B at the Buffalo Outer Harbor on Friday, October 10, 2025. Tickets to the show are on sale now.
If the past is any clue of what to expect, you'd better hurry up and get your tickets.
