This place has been around since 1837...no, really! Their specialty is beef on weck. They have a fantastic version of the sandwich. Hand-carved and a roll that's as fresh as they come. The beef is cooked perfectly. Located on Center Road in West Seneca.

I have to admit -- it's really hard NOT to order medium wings when I go to Bar-Bill but every now and then you have to go for their beef on weck. Cooked perfectly and plenty of meat.

This place is still far off the radar for too many Western New Yorker's. Yes, it's a small establishment but then you try the food and are blown away. The beef on weck here is definitely that. Located on Delaware, Avenue in Buffalo, this place's generous portions of beef are juicy and super tasty!

My dad used to take me to the Wehrle location in Williamsville. They're all about beef on weck and definitely serve up one of the best in Buffalo.

5) Swiston's Beef & Keg

One for the north towns. Located on Young Street in Tonawanda, Swiston's is definitely knows for a delicious beef on weck. Juicy beef and a great roll. Grew up in Amherst and one of the many reasons I miss living north of Buffalo.

6) Ebenezer Ale House

This one might have a little current bias, since I live in South Buffalo on the border of West Seneca, so I've made a few stops at Ebenezer's the past 18 months. They most definitely have one of the best beef on weck's around. Prime rib carved on a delicious kimmelwick roll.

7) McPartlan's Corner

This one may surprise some but I stumbled on this hidden gem as a teenager and fell in love with the food -- and one of the orders here is their beef on weck. They're located at Wehrle Drive in Amherst. Close to both Cleveland Drive and Main Street.
