He could be one of the biggest actors of our generation and he might be coming to Western New York next week.

Tom Hanks has been able to recreate himself in so many roles.  It's what makes him one of the best actors in the business.  You might see him as Forest Gump, the voice of Woody on Toy Story, the guy who played the life-size piano in Big, or the guy who befriended a volleyball named Wilson in the movie Castaway.  He has done it all and next week you might even see him around town in Western New York.

Buffalo is becoming a bit of a Hollywood of the East and some big-name actors have recently been here to film movies including Bradley Cooper, John Krasinski, and possibly even Tom Hanks.

According to WIVB, Buffalo Niagara Film Commissioner Tim Clark says that a movie Tom Hanks is starring in will be shooting in Niagara Falls next week.  Unfortunately, it will be a closed set so the public will not be able to come down and watch as they shoot.  But you never know who you might run into out in public.  In many cases in the past, the actors were seen out enjoying dinner and scoping out other areas for scenes.

The movie is reportedly called "A Man Called Otto," and is about a cranky retired man who strikes up an unlikely friendship with his boisterous new neighbors."  It is a remake of a Swedish film with the same name.  It also stars Rachel Keller, Cameron Britton, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
