THIS WEEK’S TOP 3 ENTERTAINMENT NEWS STORIES!!! [RECAP]
Nicki Minaj dropped her much anticipated album 'Queen' this week and made major waves in the industry with standout track 'Barbie Dreamz'. In Nicki's mind, she was paying homage to the late, great B.I.G. however many feel she has bitten the Queen Bee Lil' Kim, while the younger generations look at the track as innovation. But as the saying goes, nothing is new under the sun....what's your thoughts of the new album?
Tekashi 6ix9ine is slated to take the stage alongside Nicki Minaj however Manhattan's District Attorney's Office may have other plans. As of now, they are seeking 1-3 years for the Brooklyn born rapper for his deferred sentence stemming from a 2015 case where he plead guilty to one count of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance in 2015. Let's hope his legal team is all over it, and he will be performing FeFe live.
Travis Scott released an epic album this week 'Astroworld' and it BANGS! However he's also facing legal issues stemming from a fan getting paralyzed at one of his concerts in April of 2017. He claimed Travis Scott instructed fans to jump from the balconies and so he did. As a result, he suffered a fractured vertebrae, broken left wrist, fractured right ankle. He stated that he was not properly stabilized and security was instructed to bring him on stage where he was gifted a ring from the rapper. Scott has since counter sued the fan, naming The Bowery Presents, which manages Terminal 5 and the security team Strike Force Protective Services, as liable for the fan's palatalization. Hopefully this will be resolved amicably.
