There Is A New Tool In Buffalo To Help With Parking During Snow Dates
Buffalonians know how difficult it can be to navigate parking during those heavy snow days, I have been a Buffalo resident my entire life, and a victim of a few parking tickets.
According to WGRZ, the City of Buffalo has announced a new tool that will help Buffalo residents deal with on-street parking rules during snow dates. People that live in Buffalo can now sign up for BuffAlert parking updates, this way, you can be informed on when it's time to move your vehicle. Buffalo residents just have to text, JOIN PARKINGUPDATES to 30890.
The purpose of this new tool is to give residents more time to move their vehicles during snow events. I feel that this is a really nice and creative way to help the people living and working in the city of Buffalo, and it will also make it easier for the city workers to maneuver snowplows and other trucks in the winter.
Since March, my administration has worked to maintain the suspension of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m parking restrictions during the COVID-19 emergency, as we realize that many residents are working from home. With the return of winter weather here in our region, it's going to be hard for city workers to move plow trucks through the streets with cars parked on both sides.
