This week's headlines have been dominated by a story coming out of Atlanta involving a dozen school teachers wrapped in a cheating scandal.

The Buffalo City School District is transferring 54 Teachers from low performing schools. Now I'm gonna be honest with you...beyond that statement, I have NO IDEA what's really going on..nor do I understand the whole thing. My misunderstanding is in part due to trying to understand the report in The Buffalo News which is just over my head...

Despite the Buffalo News seemingly positive headline stating Buffalo's Graduation Rate has risen to 54%, that number is unacceptable.  Not only is it embarassing, after a closer look at the breakdown, the City Schools have a far less graduation rate than the suburban schools.

There's a HUGE political debate regarding the New Teacher Evaluation "Report Cards" in NYS.  According to nypost.com, Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York State Lawmakers are pushing for close to getting YOU full access to your child's Teacher's Report Card!  But there's a snag!

It's the "Age Old' debate... Should Teachers (Schools) Spank..or even be allowed to.  Should YOU spank your kids?  Many people say kids are "Out Of Control" these days and Corporal Punishment should be re-instituted in our schools... What do you think?
