What started out as a decent autumn afternoon in Buffalo's upper westside neighborhood turned into something from a movie scene when a speeding SUV crashed into a home, causing significant damage and leaving neighbors and investigators confused as to how this crash actually happened.

Around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, an SUV was speeding down Dart Street at what is assumed to be a high rate of speed and crashed into a house on Forest Avenue. According to WKBW-TV, the epic crash resulted in no injuries for anyone inside the house, which is amazing considering the vast damage to the property. The SUV driver was taken to the Erie County Medical Center for evaluation, but no injuries were reported to them either.

Looking at the result of this crash makes you wonder exactly how fast they were driving for the car to take off and land on the house's front porch while nearly driving through the living room of the property.

First responders were able to stabilize the property in an emergency, but a structural engineer will need to evaluate it to determine whether it can be saved and exactly how much damage this crash has caused.

Neighbors of the property complained to city officials that cars speed down their street often, and they were surprised more crashes haven't happened. So far, there is no additional word if the driver of the SUV that crashed into the home is being charged with any crimes or any additional circumstances that led to the crash other than high speed.
