If you're looking for a quick and delicious recipe then this Pepper Steak & Rice recipe is for you! You can add a few ingredients to this recipe to make it Mongolian or Teriyaki style but we'll save that for future recipes. Pepper Steak

  • 1 lb of stir-fry steak or steak cut into slices
  • 1/2 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1/3 onion sliced
  • 1/4 Tsp Lawry's
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper.

Sauce

 

  • 1/3 Cup Beef Broth
  • 1/3 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tbs worchestshire sauce
  • 1 tbs minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 Tbs hot sauce
  • 1 Tbs honey

Mix together ingredients in bowl. Then mix 3 Tbs of cornstarch and 3 Tbs of water separately then add to mixture. Fry beef in 1 Tbs of butter and tsp of olive oil. Once mostly browned remove from pan. Add peppers and onions to pan and sear for about 5 minutes then re-add beef. Pour sauce mixture over meat and veggies and let simmer for about 10 minutes. For long grain white rice, use 2 cups of white rice and four cups of water. Cover and cook on med-low heat for about 20 minutes undisturbed. Plate and enjoy!
