There are many amazing spots in Western New York to get food and one of the more underrated styles of food in Buffalo is breakfast. There's nothing that replicates the experience of going to a favorite breakfast diner on a Saturday or Sunday morning with your family and ordering your comfort food.

According to their Facebook page, JJ's Cafe - House of Breakfast, located on Kenmore Avenue in the City of Buffalo, is closing after nearly 40 years in business.

The post says the owners are finally retiring.

JJ's is a hugely popular breakfast restaurant with locals around that area of Buffalo and it's one of the few breakfast places that is also popular with takeout, along with dining in.

JJ's joins a long list of local restaurants in Western New York who have closed over the past two years, some because of the pandemic, others due to other circumstances.

Major Tom's Drop Zone recently closed in the Village of Hamburg, and last New Year's Eve, Buffalo Roadhouse Grill closed in Amherst.

I'm going to miss JJ's Cafe - House of Breakfast. Friends of mine who live that way rave about it and it's so sad when one of your favorite restaurants closes for good, but I'm happy the owners get to retire after 40 years of service.

Make sure you visit them tomorrow to say goodbye.
