Police Looking For Hit & Run Driver Who Killed WNY Woman

A 49-year-old woman was killed after a hit-and-run accident on the east side. The deadly incident happened on Walden Avenue near Genesee Street in Buffalo, according to WIVB. The woman was hit by a vehicle around 3 am Sunday, August 1, 2021. She was taken to Erie County Medical Center but was declared dead at the hospital. Buffalo Police are searching for the driver who hit the woman. Woman Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run on Bailey Avenue in Buffalo

The incident on Walden was the second hit-and-run that happened this weekend. On Friday, July 30, 2021, a woman was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Baily Avenue, according to Channel 4. The 37-year-old woman sustained multiple injuries from the accident, which happened Friday afternoon around 4 pm. She was transported to Erie County Medical Center. I hope that police are able to find the drivers in both incidents. I was hit by a car as a pedestrian, back when I was 16-years-old. The injuries I sustained still affect me today. The family of the woman who was killed and the woman who is injured should get justice. My thoughts are with both victims 🙏
