What is one of the most confusing exits in Western New York, has gotten this Ohio man caught up in something he was trying his hardest to avoid. I've said it many times before, you have to be very careful when you are on the Porter Ave and the I-190 North near the Peace Bridge and Busti exit because one wrong turn and you'll end up in Canada, or worse in jail.

On Friday, March 18, 2022, 49-year-old Julius K. Alls was a passenger in a vehicle that was driven by an unidentified man who made a wrong turn onto the Peace Bridge towards Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. When they attempted to turn around and head back towards Buffalo they were stopped by US Customs and Border Patrol. The driver was not able to produce any identification when questioned by CBP Officers.

After additional inspections by officers, it was discovered that Alls had multiple felony warrants for his arrest from Fairfax County, Virginia. He had been on the run from charges of burglary, grand larceny, and more.

After being processed by CBP Officers, the Ohio man was picked up by officers from the Buffalo Police Department. He was then transported to the Erie County Holding Center and will be held by the Erie County Sheriffs Office until he can be extradited back to Virginia to answer his charges.

I for one can understand how this can happen; not the being a fugitive from the law part, but making a wrong turn onto the Peace Bridge and ending up in Canada. I have done it a few times; luckily for me I am a proud Nexus holder and cross into Ontario quite often.

I guess the driver of this car will learn to be a little more careful next time.

7 Exciting Things To See And Do When Canada Opens

Going over the border has so many benefits for many Americans, people come from all over the world to Canada all the time. Buffalo and Niagra Falls residents are spoiled because we have the advantage of being so very close, for most people here the border is less than 20 minutes away. The thing that I have noticed over the years is, the main strip in Niagra Falls Ontario gets bigger all the time with more things to see and do. Did you know, that the first hotel was built on Ferry Rd. in the tourist area back in 1833? it's amazing to see all of the additions, even since the 90s.
