Traffic Will Be a Nightmare in Orchard Park Today
It's finally a Friday and that's always the most special day of the week for most, since it means clocking out of work and having a fun-filled weekend.
The Buffalo Bills are almost two weeks into training camp and one week away from their first preseason game of 2022, which will be next Saturday afternoon against the Indianapolis Colts.
However, fans don't have to wait until next week to see their team at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
In case you didn't know, the Bills will hold a scrimmage at the stadium today at 5:30 pm. It's the annual blue and red game, which is always a fun time for families, who bring kids to the game to not only see the Bills in action, but the players interact with fans.
If you are going, but also if you're NOT going, you should be aware of the traffic.
Lots around Highmark Stadium will open at 3 pm and the gates open at 4 pm. This means starting around 3 pm, the traffic in Orchard Park near the stadium, as well as the I-90 and I-219 will be pretty terrible.
It's always busy for a Bills game and even though this is a scrimmage, the Bills gave out 70,000 tickets for this event, so it will be normal traffic as if it were an actual game day.
This is also at the end of a work day. There will be rush hour traffic getting out of work right when vehicles will be heading to the stadium, so it may be even more busy than usual.
Keep that in mind and if you can avoid the roads near the stadium and the I-219, today is probably a good day to do so.
