Open Buffalo is hosting a Sankofa Celebration Fundraising Event on Thursday (January 9). Get all the details!

"Sankofa is an African word from the Akan tribe in Ghana. The literal translation of the word and the symbol is “it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind." ~ Berea College

The Sankofa Celebration will be held this Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Northland Workforce Training Center, located at 683 Northland Ave in Buffalo. Tickets are only $50 per person. There will be performances, "movement music," basket auction, and food from Manna and more! Your ticket includes one drink and there will be a donation bar available. The attire for the evening is business casual and there is free parking on-site. You can purchase your ticket via Eventbrite, just click here.
