(NYSEG) New York State Electric and Gas Corporation Requests Rate Increase
Get ready to pay about $10.17 more per month for your utilities. The New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG) is asking the State of New York for the green light to raise our utility rates.
It's weird to me how the people always asking for MORE do so at the expense of others, while they live comfortably off of a Salary that could probably sustain 3 or 4 entire families who cannot currently afford their utility bills, not taking into account an additional increase possibly coming soon.
Here's a statement from" New York State Department of Public Service spokesperson, James Denn according to news reports:
"Our number one priority is ensuring that all New Yorkers have access to safe, affordable, reliable and clean energy services," said New York State Department of Public Service spokesperson, James Denn. "Utility rate cases are the forum in which the PSC rigorously assesses proposed rates to ensure they are fair and reasonable. The 11-month public review process will closely review this initial proposal."
