Need to hear some good news today?

A lovely puppy named Leia was finally adopted by a wonderful family after spending 642 days at the Niagara County SPCA.

They posted the good news on their Twitter account last week.


There are currently numerous other dogs and cats that are currently up for adoption at the Niagara County SPCA.

The adoption fee for dogs at the Niagara County SPCA are:

  • Under 6 months $350
  • 6 months - 10 years $250
  • 10+ years $75

The adoption fee for cats at the Niagara County SPCA are:

  • Under 6 months $150
  • 6 months - 3 years $100
  • 3+years $50
  • You can see a list of adoptable cats HERE

They are currently remodeling the Niagara County SPCA and according to their website, you may need to set up an appointment to adopt a dog.

No appointment is necessary for cat/small animal adoptions, but MAY be necessary for dog adoptions- please call for details.

If you can't make it to the Niagara County SPCA, you can adopt a new fur-baby at the Erie County SPCA. 12,000 animals are assisted annually by the SPCA Serving Erie County.

The SPCA Serving Erie County was founded in 1867 and is the second-oldest humane society in the country.
