NFL on CBS Gives The Buffalo Bills ‘Bulletin Board’ Material
The Buffalo Bills host the New England Patriots to wrap up week 13 in the NFL. It's the first Monday Night Football game in Orchard Park since 2018 and to say it's important would be a huge understatement.
The Bills are 7-4, which is a half-game back of the Patriots (8-4). New England has yet to have their bye week.
This game is important for the AFC East crown, plus keeping both the Bills and the Patriots in the running for the number one seed in the AFC for the postseason.
The Bills are currently 2.5 point favorites over the Patriots at home, and despite the fact both teams are at least three games above .500, you'd never know it based on the national sports media's predictions.
This past week, the crew for Get Up on ESPN, all picked the Patriots to beat the Bills.
On Sunday, the entire NFL on CBS pregame crew picked New England to beat Buffalo, and two members (Nate Burleson and Boomer Esiason), picked the Patriots to be the number one seed in the entire AFC. They all agreed the Patriots would win the AFC East.
I'm confident Bills head coach Sean McDermott has made it known to his players about these national predictions, and the fact that New England is technically leading the AFC East. McDermott loves playing the underdog every chance he can, and this is a prime opportunity.
The weather will play a huge role tonight, as wind gusts are expected to be around 45 mph for kickoff at 8:15, which would make passing and kicking extremely difficult.
