If you love sweets, there is a recall in New York you need to know about. Milk chocolate sold in the state could pose a deadly threat to New Yorkers. There have been a couple other recent food recalls that you should know about.

The Rich Ice Cream Co. of West Palm Beach, Florida, issued a recall for more than 110,292 cases of its ice cream products, according to the FDA. The products, which were sold in New York, include Chocolate Crunch Cake Bars, Cool Watermelon Bars, Cotton Candy Twirl Bars, Crumbled Cookie Bars, Fudge Frenzy Bars, Rich Bars, Orange Cream Bars, Savagely Sour Blue Raspberry Bars, Savagely Sour Cherry Bars, and Strawberry Shortcake Bars. The various ice cream bars may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
In addition, per the Food and Drug Administration, Tropicale Foods of Ontario, California, issued a recall of Helados Mexico and La Michoacana products. The ice cream bars contain milk, a known allergen, which is not listed on the packaging.

Neuhaus Chocolates NV of Vlezenbeek, BELGIUM, announced a recall of its Belgian Chocolate Moments Smurfs 'Popping Milk Chocolates with Cookies. The chocolate poses a deadly threat to people with a wheat allergy as the product contains undeclared wheat.
The milk chocolate product at the center of the recall was distributed between April 8, 2025, and July 21, 2025, to stores in New York, as well as Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and via Neuhaus' online store. The affected batch numbers are 80108690 and 80108763. Both have a "best by" date of January 13, 2026.
