Ham Salad Recall In New York Due To Health Threat
There's another food recall in New York State. It's been a busy couple of weeks for recalls. The recalls have been a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, snack crackers, ice cream, and chicken sausage. Some of the reasons for the recalls include contamination, undeclared allergens, and bacteria. Every time I see a headline about a food recall, I freak out a little bit, wondering if it's something that I have in my refrigerator, freezer, pantry, or worse yet, consumed already. There are two products being removed from stores in New York due to Listeria monocytogenes.

School will be starting soon, and there's bad news for any parents who might have done some prep lunch shopping. According to the FDA, Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions, LLC is recalling Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack. The 15-count boxes (UPC 1 93968 50900 2) are potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
"Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, a Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women."
The products were distributed between July 1 and July 25, 2025, and sold in Sam’s Club stores around New York, as well as nationwide.
