As we get ever closer to the 2024 presidential election, the number of voices seeking a change in the democratic candidate is beginning to grow.

Even after several state governors traveled to Washington, D.C., to express their support for President Joe Biden, more members of the political class are calling for Biden to step down and make room for someone else to take his place.

In a move that has surprised many, the number two man in New York State government is one of those asking the 46th President of the United States to step aside.

New York State's Lieutenant Governor, Antonio Delgado, is one of the latest people of political power to make the demand of the President.

Delgado expounded on his thoughts in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). The Empire State's number two man respects President Biden but also feels he's not the best person to take on the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

This position differs from New York's Governor Kathy Hochul as she was one of many Governors who spent time with the President this month supporting his campaign. The New York Post is reporting that a potential civil war may be brewing in New York State's majority party.

Whatever happens, the 2024 presidential election is certain to be one of the most important elections in a generation.
