Buffalo Music Venue Is In Its Last Days
The nightlife scene in Buffalo and Western New York has been on the decline for quite a while now. While we have seen some bright spots and new venues popping up, the overall trend has been going in a negative direction for several years now. Just take a look at all the venues that shut down, or been shut down by local government, along with the general lack of venues for people to go out and hang, is truly telling for the second largest city in New York State.
This trend isn't limited to just the largest mega-clubs in Buffalo either. Whether its the local lounge to the corner bar, entertainment venues are hard to come by now-a-days.
While many people can think about the heyday when Buffalo has some amazing clubs to party at, those days are long gone, and now we're learning about another classic Buffalo music venue is on the verge of going away.

Mohawk Place, the historic downtown music venue and nightspot, is closing its doors this week. This grungy place where you could hear some great music while sipping on good drinks is going †cin the same direction as Marcella, The Old Pink, Swannie House, Brick Bar, and countless other venues in Western New York.
According to WIVB-TV, Mohawk Place announced earlier this year that they were closing their doors and that they would stop shows and events by the end of the month. From its glory years in the 90s and early 2000s, Mohawk Place was one of the few venues where you could go from watching local underground acts on the stage to national bands like The White Stripes.
It's sad to see the direction Buffalo's nightlife is taking. Hopefully, things will improve as time passes.
