Josh Allen Image During Sunday’s Game Goes Viral [TWEET]
It's hard to believe it's been five days since the Buffalo Bills lost an absolutely heartbreaking game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Divisional Round, 42-36.
Then again, maybe you're thinking to yourself, "wait, it's only been five days?" After all, it's been one of the toughest weeks ever for a Buffalo sports fan.
The one thing we can hang our collective hats on, is the fact that the Bills have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and he just may have cemented himself into the discussion for best quarterback after his playoff performances this month.
Josh Allen is simply superhuman. He proved that in arguably the most hostile road environment in the NFL, in the playoffs, against Patrick Mahomes, trailing much of the game and facing multiple 3rd and 4th downs.
Allen went 27 of 37 for 329 yards and 4 touchdowns in an all-time NFL playoff performance. He also rushed for nearly 70 yards.
Allen threw all four touchdowns to Gabriel Davis, who also showed the league what he could do on a big stage. The final touchdown pass came at the end of a final drive with 62 seconds left. Allen threw a 19-yard pass into the end zone to Davis with just 13 seconds remaining.
On Thursday, Jon Scott of Spectrum News Buffalo shared a photo of Allen that I never knew existed. It shows Allen pointing to the "ice in his veins" after his fourth touchdown pass to Davis with 13 seconds left.
Allen is as down to earth and as humble as a star NFL player can be. He doesn't really enjoy the spotlight away from the football field and enjoys his privacy while in Western New York. But I have to imagine he knows just how amazing he is on the field.
This level of confidence is wonderful to see. Players like Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, Herbert, Burrow and Lamar Jackson have to have some level of swagger to their game.
