The Bills spent their 2022 first round pick on Florida cornerback Kaiir Elam. In fact, the Bills traded up two spots to make sure they landed him in the first round (23rd overall).

Elam is a long, athletic corner who has experience in both press man coverage and zone defense. He's someone the Bills wanted because of his skillset and the depth need at the position.

Elam said to the Bills staff at the NFL Combine that he was coached up at one point by Hall of Fame head coach, Bill Parcells.

Parcells coached the New York Giants, New England Patriots, New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys. He has also worked in the front office for the Miami Dolphins. He currently lives 30 minutes from Elam's family in Florida.

According to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN, Parcells gave Bills quarterback Josh Allen a phone call.

Parcells said he has talked to Josh before and asked Allen is he would keep an eye on Elam. Josh Allen said that he would.

Elam's father and uncle both played in the NFL. Between that and Parcells mentoring, it's clear that Kaiir Elam knows exactly what to expect entering the NFL.

The fact that Bills Parcells, one of the best NFL head coaches of all-time, is giving Josh Allen phone calls asking for his help, is very cool.
