The Buffalo Bills are 1-0, after defeating the Los Angeles Rams to kick off the NFL's 2022 regular season this past Thursday night.

The 31-10 score surprised many around the country, despite the fact the Bills were the favorite to win the Super Bowl in February. The fact the Bills dominated the defending Super Bowl champs like they did speaks volumes to how good this roster is.

Both the offense and defense looked fantastic.

Josh Allen threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another. One of those touchdown passes went to wide receiver and fan-favorite, Isaiah McKenzie.

McKenzie even had a gender reveal for his sister after the touchdown catch, which went viral on social media.

McKenzie is taking on the role of the Bills main slot receiver in 2022, after veteran Cole Beasley was released as a cap casualty in March. He will also be asked to return kicks, so the Bills have faith he can accomplish both tasks on a contending team.

What was surprising was McKenzie signed a two-year contract worth $4.4 million to stay in Buffalo, just a few days before the start of free agency.

We found out this past weekend that McKenzie turned down more money to stay in Buffalo.

McKenzie has his own show with Tyler Dunne of Go Long (phenomenal reporter and journalist, by the way), which was filmed at Mister's Bar and Lanes this past Friday.

McKenzie revealed he turned down more money from several NFL teams and even offers from the likes of the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, to stay in Buffalo...because he feels this team and city is special.

McKenzie admitted it's hard to turn down more money, but said "I got enough, I got enough for me I guess."

"Money's not everything for me," added McKenzie.

He emphasized that Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott were loyal to him and gave him his NFL opportunity.

How cool is that. McKenzie just became an even bigger fan favorite in Western New York.
