Hostage Situation at a Buffalo Pawnshop Ends [PHOTOS & VIDEO]

The hostage situation at a pawnshop in Buffalo at Broadway and Ellicott ended after more than four hours.

The situation ended when the gunman shot himself in the head, according to WKBW. The hostages were uninjured.

Nov. 6, 9:59 a.m.

Buffalo Police have blocked off a five-block perimeter around an apparent hostage situation on Broadway in downtown Buffalo.

The Buffalo SWAT van is on the scene. There are reports of an active shooter inside a pawn shop near Ellicott and Broadway near the Buffalo library.

Broadway between Elm and Washington is blocked off.
