Today, there is a Heat Advisory in place for the Niagara Frontier which includes the city of Buffalo and northern Erie and Niaraga counties. The advisory will be in effect from noon until 7 o'clock tonight.

Today we could see a high of only 82 but because of the humidity, the heat index could make it feel like the temperatures are in the high 90s. If you need to be outside today, you will need to take some precautions. You will need to limit your outdoor time in the sun, try to work in the shade. Also, take well hydrated by drinking lots of water. If you do start to feel ill, you could head into air conditioning and contact your doctor.

We will see the hot and humid temperatures for pretty much of all week until we see a bit of a cooldown on Friday. Here is what we can expect for this week.

Monday - High of 82
Tuesday - High of 89
Wednesday - High of 87
Thursday - High of 86
Friday - High of 78

Then we will see a perfect weekend, mostly sunny skies with a high of 78 for Saturday and a high of 79 on Sunday.
