This week on Good Neighbors Credit Union's Money Minute, I chatted with Buffalo Branch Manager Mark Jones about preparing for tax season:

Thinking about tax season always stresses me out a little bit, but I know so many people are really focused on capturing all their deductions and credits so they can make the most of their return.

Mark reminds us to prepare by gathering personal identification information, W-2s and other financial paperwork. Then, you want to consider whether you need professional help from an accountant; this may be helpful if you have several deductions or had a major financial change last year, such as changing jobs, moving or having a baby.

Of course, Good Neighbors Credit Union is always here to help with any financial matter. You can visit the local branches at:

  • 251 Grant St., Buffalo
  • 30 Brunswick Road, Depew
