The Police Athletic League of Buffalo is among the many organizations supporting a free hosting school supplies giveaway and community celebration this Sunday. The event will take place at Johnnie B. Wiley, located at 1100 Jefferson Ave. in Buffalo. The event will be held from 12 pm to 3 pm and is open to the community.  There will also be free food and a $25 Tops gift card for the first 100 families.

Congressman Brian Higgins, Erie County Legislator Howard J. Johnson, and City of Buffalo Fillmore District Councilmember Mitch Nowakowski are hosting a backpack giveaway on Saturday. The drive-through backpack giveaway will be held this Saturday, August 29th at the Central Terminal, located at 495 Paderewski Drive in Buffalo.  Get all the details here.
