Many fans and media members have been going to St. John Fisher for years to see the Bills at training camp. One of the greatest storylines of the last 20 years was a then unknown running back named Fred Jackson who made an impression in 2006 and 2007.

Jackson stuck around on the team in 2006 but finally saw playing time in 2007 behind Marshawn Lynch and Anthony Thomas, especially with injuries down the stretch. Jackson became a household name by 2009 and was an offensive MVP candidate in 2011, before an injury ended his season.

Jackson is one of the most beloved Bills of all-time and it’s because of his underdog mentality; coming from division III, Coe College and indoor football. Jackson hasn’t played for the Bills since 2014, but he will be back on TV for the 2022 season,

Jon Scott of Spectrum News announced this week that Jackson would join him on coverage for the Bills during training camp and the regular season for Spectrum News Buffalo.

Jackson will co-host postgame coverage and help out with specialty shows as well.

Scott is one of the nicest and most talented Bills reports in Buffalo and it’s a fantastic idea to have Fred on coverage. He will do great things as an analyst for Bills postgame shows and other shows during the week.
