Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder in the first degree in the death of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd after homicide investigators found the 27 year old's body less than a mile away from the NFL player's Massachusetts home.

Just as the news broke, the New England Patriots immediately dropped Hernandez. Twitter is already going crazy with memes created about the arrest.

Hernandez, who pleaded not guilty to all charges, will be held without bail.

Hernandez is also accused of destroying his home security system last week, as well as his cell phone, before cooperating with the police investigation. Most likely they will also charge him with obstruction of justice.

Text messages reveal that Hernandez and Lloyd were together the night/early morning of the murder. The deceased's family confirmed that Lloyd was dating Hernandez's fiance's sister, and according to the girlfriend, Hernandez was upset with Lloyd for associating with people he had problems with.

Although I do understand that the NFL doesn't want to be affiliated with murder, I do believe that he is innocent until proven guilty.
