I've been noticing the talent in upstate so we here at Power 93.7FM created a platform to spotlight the next superstar Queen City style.

This week the “TALK OF THE TOWN” “716 SPOTLIGHT” comes from the East side of Buffalo, N.Y. 7xveTheGenius, pronounced "love the genius". Came thru the studio to chop it up with your boy SteelBoutMoney. We talked about her new project which is dropping soon, titled "Self Love" ; also talked about the idea of self love and how she keeps her love for self in check. She gave us a little bar work with an impromptu freestyle. We talked about how fans are reacting to her on the road with BSF and Benny The Bucther. We even talked about her process for putting an album together. Plus she gave us a sneak peek of her newest project with her latest single "Same Hustle" which you can check out below.

We asked her to define that concept of "self-love":

Self-love is about me, myself, "love", but it's also about people getting back into themselves. Back into loving themselves. Not in a way to sound preachy or pushy, but like let's get back into caring about ourselves, not trying to push so much negativity. Let's get into ourselves, center ourselves again.

We also spoke about her process--what it takes to put a project together:

I already know what I'm going for, what story--what do I want people to get when they finish listening to this whole thing. So then after that, I reach out to my producers like, "Okay I want this type of vibe...to be this tempo, this mood." Then I go through beats--actually I go through the beats, like I arrange the order of the beats before I even write the songs.

That song is about like...me and women telling guys like, I'm on the same thing you on. Don't think like we all just tryin to twerk, which is cool, I'll get on the couch with you and all that stuff--yeah, buy me a bag. But like yeah, know I'm trying to get the bag also. You know what I'm saying? I'm on the same thing you on.
