If you were to ask anyone around Western New York, they would likely agree with you that Buffalo is one of the greatest places in the world. Not only because of the food, drinks, Bills, and Sabres, but because the community in Western New York is extremely welcoming.

For many years, the All America City known as Buffalo has been called the City of Good Neighbors, a name that is well earned and deserved. You can see it every day when you walk around town. Buffalo has been very open to new people coming in to call this place home.

Buffalo is also well known for the fact that we've adopted our Canadian neighbors, which was on full display at a recent Buffalo Sabres game when more than 19,000 Western New Yorkers sang O'Canada. So when one of the most famous people in the world happens to just pop up in Buffalo, it's big news, but it's also just another day in Buffalo.

Drake Pulled Up In Buffalo To Surprise Fan

It should come as no secret to anyone that Drake and Buffalo have a special relationship. It goes all the way back to his very first performance in America, which happened at Daemen College, and the very first American radio station to play his music was Power 93.7 WBLK. Buffalo, with its proximity to Toronto, Ontario, played a big part in Southern Ontario's entertainment scene. DJs from Buffalo used to host massive parties in Toronto all the time. Ontarians watched Irv, Tom Jolls, and Rick Azar for the news, weather, and sports just like Western New Yorkers did.

So when Drake pops up in an Instagram video with one of his biggest fans in Buffalo, that should come as no surprise to those of us who know him and how much he is actually IN Buffalo.
