It was a movie as the industries vets and best got together to celebrate the life and release of DMX's posthumous album 'Exodus 1:7'. Like a kid staying up waiting for Santa to come, last night many DMX fans and supporters like myself anticipated midnight like Christmas was coming in May and the gift we were about to receive was the gift of music from the great DMX.

Before this anticipated album was released just last night at 10PM Swizz Beatz went live on social media and went through the entire album. As I watched the celebration of DMX's life and release of his music I couldn't help but notice the room was filled with legends and legends in the making, including Angie Martinez, Mary J Blige and Buffalo's own Conway The Machine.

While at the celebration of DMX's album release something dope happened and it was when Buffalo's own Conway The Machine gifted Mary J. Blige one of his chains. He literally took it right off his neck in that moment and it was hers.

This was no surprise to me seeing that Conway has been giving back to his hometown in a major way and at this point, we all should know by now that Conway Cares. But it was hearing the story told by Angie Martinez as Swizz Beatz provided context was that made this night even more special to me. Check out the video below and hear exactly what happened.

Just imagine having the opportunity to gift someone like Mary J Blige your necklace? I would have done the very same thing as Conway and handed it right over to Swizz Beats and said the same thing.

If Mary want that Mary about to have that

Oh and did you know he got to two step with the Queen of R&B? Peep below

Again this is no surprise because this is what Kings do, remember Conway Cares.

As I get back to the album 'Exodus1:7" I must say I listened with ears of excitement and sorrow knowing that all this great energy would be the last true album from one of my favorite rappers. I listened deep to every word he shared and the story he continued to share of his past and his then present state. I listen as each collaboration and feature gave me the greatest joy to hear so many on the same track. As always anything produced by Swizz Beatz will place you in the zone and give you the energy you need. But again because I am from Buffalo my favorite track will be "Hood Blues" with DMX featuring Benny the Butcher, Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn.

If you have yet to listen to this album may I suggest you give it your best listen, you wont regret it!
