May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Many Mental Health agencies throughout Western New York and Buffalo will come together to set up tables at a Informational Fair tomorrow. At noon the 6th Annual Flash Mob will happen in front of the Library (if weather is bad, it will move inside). The event is hosted By Restoration Society, Inc., Best Self Behavioral Health, Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, Buffalo Psychiatric Center and Mental Health Peer Connection.

If you or someone you love experiences a mental health crisis, there is a new center to help!

The Renewal Center is a peer-operated and peer-staffed retreat for those experiencing a mental health pre-crisis or crisis. The Renewal Center's mission is to provide a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental environment that empowers those who are struggling with the principles of wellness and recovery, which can then inform constructive self-care decisions.

They serve individuals who are at least 18 years old, and have a primary mental health or substance abuse condition.
