Please share word that tonight, free and inclusive, Slow Roll Buffalo's Peace of the City Ride starts at 6:30pm sharp from West Side Community Services at 161 Vermont Street, with a 10-mile roundtrip route including neighborhoods West, Elmwood Village, Forest & Grant-Ferry along major streets Connecticut, Richmond, Delaware, Forest, West Ferry & Grant; post-ride party with food, drinks and music from the West Side's own Ismail & Company.

Many riders will "Pedal For Peace," collecting pledges in support of Peace of the City's mission to give at-risk kids in Buffalo neighborhoods a safe and loving place to come that can teach them social, creative, life and educational skills. In standard Slow Roll structure, the ride the cover 10 miles at a leisurely pace of around 10 miles per hour, with cyclists of all ages and skill levels guided by more than 100 Slow Roll Squad volunteers and a Buffalo Police Department motorcade. Two "mass-up" stops allow for regrouping while community stakeholders inform riders of history, events and issues in the immediate area. Slow Roll Buffalo will continue at a different weekly venue on Monday nights through October 29th.
