The free "Young Queens Empowerment Conference" is being held on Saturday April 28th from 9 AM-2:30 PM. The conference will be held at East Community High School, located at 820 Northamption Street in Buffalo.

It is open to young women ages 10 to 20.  To attend, please contact Cambia Daniels at cdaniels@bestselfwny.org or call 716-816-4520.

 Workshop #1 “Mental Health & Positive Mindset=Success”: Participants will be able to articulate the importance of Mental Health and a positive mindset on overall health and functionality. Additionally participants will be able to recognize how a positive mindset affects successful outcomes within their everyday lives.

 Workshop #2 “Business Ownership”: Participants will delineate the challenges of female business ownership and the significance of inclusive professionalism.

 Workshop #3 “Safe Dating & Healthy Relationships”: Motivate youth to foster self-improvement behaviors specific to safe dating and healthy relationships. Examine, identify and define sex trafficking risks within the community.

Workshop #4 “This is a Man’s World”: Our goal is to engage youth in an open discussion around the navigation of being a female police woman within a male dominated field. Also, to inform participants in order to distinguish the principles of perseverance and discipline that are needed to be a successful within the field.
