Chiefs Fan Faces Jail Time After Playoff Game Stunt
If you were watching the Bills vs. Chiefs game on Sunday night you may have seen a fan run out on the field. Now he's facing some pretty serious charges.
It was into the fourth quarter already when you may have noticed a bit of a disturbance in the game. A fan decided to run out on the field and run right up next to the players. Stefon Diggs from the Bills took matters into his own hands and clobbered the guy before security could get to him. Then Dion Dawkins threw the man's sneaker off the field.
It was all done on a $1000 bet that was captured on Tik Tok.
You can hear the guy contemplating whether he wants to do it or not. He says, "Get arrested and ****. Spend a night in a drunk tank..."
Then this happened:
It's what people think will happen. They will pay a fine or spend a little time in jail, but it looks like he might actually get more than that.
His name is Jacob Bross. He's 20 years old and now he will end up facing a judge for a municipal charge. Investigators are saying he “did willfully disrupt, obstruct, hinder or disturb any public amusement event by running on to the field.”
If he's found guilty, he could face a $500 and 6 months in jail! That's a little more than "a night in a drunk tank."
It's a pretty lofty fine for just a couple seconds literally in the spotlight on one of the biggest games of the year.
He will find out if he has to spend any time behind bars on February 24th.
