The CAO ( Community Action Organization of WNY) is hosting WNY's 1st Virtual Meat Raffle tomorrow so get your tickets here...last chance TODAY ... (link below).  The event is being called Chillin' and Grillin'' and will be held online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic causing the live event this year to be canceled, according to WGRZ News.

Vice President of Development Tom Kane admitted it took a lot of work to put on this event but shared that it's worth it to help support the mission, according to WGRZ News.

"The needs have not gone away of the poor and underprivileged just because everything shut down. In fact, they've increased. So with so many people unemployed and without opportunities for them to work, the need is even greater for the support, so we're grateful for that. We're happy to do it, we need to find ways to keep that going. "

Meat for the raffle will be provided by Pellicano's Marketplace, according to WGRZ and include steaks, chicken, burgers, sausage, eggs, bacon, brisket filet, lobster, turkey, ribs and hot dogs. Corn, tomatoes, squash, and potatoes.

HOW WILL THE VIRTUAL RAFFLE WORK? (according to WGRZ News)

Proceeds from the raffle with benefit and fund CAO programs.  tickets are $50 which will be good for 12 rounds of raffle drawings with 3 spins per round and 3 winners each round.  The raffle ticket also affords you "bonus rounds, entry for a gift card raffle, and entry in a 50/50 drawing". according to WGRZ News:  Add on tickets are also available to win Grand Prizes.  The Grand Prizes, according to the WGRZ News report are:

"a 5 foot cubic freezer full of meet and a 4K UHD Smart LED Roku TV, as well as extra tickets for the 50/50"
