Buffalo skateboard enthusiasts gathered at La Salle Park for the grand opening of Buffalo's first outdoor skate park, and WBLK was there to witness it! Watch the video and find out what the new park means to the community.

When Lil Wayne opened up the Dew Weezy Skatepark in Louisiana, Buffalo residents praised him for doing something for his community that was just a dream for WNY skaters. But today, a well-designed, high-flying, grind-friendly (technical skating term!) park is open for old and new two-wheel tricksters to enjoy.

My intern Chuck was on the scene as the City of Buffalo opened its first outdoor skate park at La Salle Park on July 24.

Mayor Byron Brown, Ellicott District Councilmember Darius Pridgen and Niagara District Councilmember David Rivera attended the ribbon cutting ceremony, along with local residents eager to get out there and skateboard, inline skate and BMX bike in the beautiful new skate park on Buffalo's waterfront.
