Another workplace shooting has happened in Western New York and a suspect has been arrested. On Sunday, June 6, 2021, a shooting took place at Allen Burger Venture, which is located at 175 Allen Street in Buffalo. According to WIVB, a fight between two employees began around 3 pm. The fight then escalated.

Buffalo Police Captain, Jeff Rinaldo, told WIVB,

“It’s a typical case of workplace violence during the altercation, the suspect walked into what’s being described as an employee locker area where we believe he retrieved a handgun."

Tysheim Evans has been arrested by Buffalo Police. Captain Rinaldo told WGRZ that Evans went to the employee locker area and got a gun. He allegedly shot a gun at the ground. The bullet split in two, hitting two people.

"That round did splinter into two pieces, striking another employee in the leg - that person was not involved in the original altercation - as well as a second person who was not an employee of the restaurant." ~ Buffalo Police Captain, Jeff Rinaldo, via WGRZ

The bullet fragments hit two people - an employee of Allen Burger Venture, who was not involved in the fight and another person who is not an employee. Both victims were taken to Erie County Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Erie County District Attorney, John Flynn, told WGRZ that Evans had a previous gun charge and was out on bail.

The Buffalo Police Department tweeted,

BPD announce the arrest of the suspect from the ABV shooting yesterday. Tysheim Evans, 27 years old from Buffalo is charged with Felony criminal possession of a weapon and felony reckless endangerment.

Man Tragically Loses Life in Workplace Shooting in Niagara Falls

The suspect in the fatal workplace shooting is in custody. The shooting happened on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Niagara Metals, located at 4861 Packard Drive in Niagara Falls. The victim, who was shot in the back of the head, according to what Niagara Metals President Todd Levin told WGRZ, died in the morning. Police arrived on the scene around 8:16 am. The suspect in the deadly workplace shooting, Matthew Figura Jr., has been apprehended by authorities, according to WIVB. Figura fled the scene and was caught by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office in the Town of Sardinia.
