Buffalo Driver Sentenced to Prison for Shooting Man in Back Seat
A Buffalo man was sentenced this morning for shooting a passenger in his car. Timothy D. Eatmon, Jr., who is 31-years-old, received a sentence of 12 years in prison, according to the Erie County District Attorney, John Flynn. He also received 3 years of supervision after he is released from prison.
The incident happened on February 1, 2020. Around 2:00 am, Eatmon shot a passenger in his back seat, with the intent to murder the man. He was driving on the Kensington Expressway when he fired multiple shots at the victim using an illegal gun. The victim tried to grab the weapon from Eatmon and was able to escape the vehicle. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center and was treated for his injuries over the course of several days. Eatmon pleaded guilty on June 15, 2021, to several charges, including attempted murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of assault.
Just imagine riding with someone you know, or at minimum are comfortable getting into the car with and you end up getting shot at multiple times! The D.A.'s Office didn't mention a motive, but damn, a person really has to hate you to shoot at you multiple times while they are driving with you in their vehicle.
